Let f:R→R be a function defined as f(x)=⎩⎨⎧2xsin(a+1)x+sin2x,b,bx5/2x+bx3−x,x<0x=0x>0. If f is continuous at x=0, then the value of a+b is equal to

LHL: x→0−limf(x)=2a+1+1.
RHL: x→0+limbx5/2(x+bx3+x)x+bx3−x=x→0+limx(1+bx2+1)x=21.
f(0)=b. So 21=b=2a+1+1⇒b=21,a=−2. Hence a+b=−23.
