Let f(x)=x−1 and g(x)=ex for x∈R. If dxdy=(e−2xg(f(f(x)))−xy), y(0)=0, then y(1) is
Solutions · 1
Official solution
\[f(x)=x−1f(f(x))=f(x)−1=x−1−1=x−2g(f(f(x)))=ex−2∴dxdy=e−2x×ex−2−x1ydxdy+x1y=ex−2x−2 which is L.D.E I.F. =e∫xdy=e2x\]
Its solution is
\[y×e2x=∫e2x×ex−2x−2dx+cy×e2x=∫ex−2dx+cy×e2x=ex−2+c\]
Given x=0,y=0⇒0=e−2+c;c=−e−2
\[\therefore \mathrm{y} \times \mathrm{e}^{2 \sqrt{x}}=\mathrm{e}^{\mathrm{x}-2}-\mathrm{e}^{-2}\]
when x=1,y×e2=e−1−e−2
\[y=\frac{e^{-1}-e^{-2}}{e^2}=\frac{\frac{1}{e}-\frac{1}{e^2}}{e^2}=\frac{e^2-e}{e^5}=\frac{e-1}{e^4}\]
Option (1) is correct
