Equation of plane P2 passing through (2,−1,0),(2,0, −1) and (5,1,1) is
∣x−5y−1z−1321312∣=0⇒(x−5)(4−1)−(y−1)(6−3)+(z−1)(3−6)=0⇒3x−15−3y+3−3z+3=0⇒3x−3y−3z−9=0⇒x−y−z=3.......(i)
Now, direction ratios of line of intersection of P1 and P2 is
∣i^j^k^1−1−13−1−7∣=i^(7−1)−j^(−7+3)+k^(−1+3)=6i^+4j^+2k^
At z=0,x−y=3
[from (i)]
3x−y=11
On solving, we get
x=4y=1
So, equation of line is
6x−4=4y−1=6z−2=k∴(α,β,γ)=(6k+4,4k+1,2k)⇒(6)(α−7)+4(β−4)+2(γ+1)=0⇒6(6k+4−7)+4(4k+1−4)+2(2k+1)=0⇒36k−18+16k−12+4k+4=0⇒56k=26⇒k=21α=7,β=3γ=1∴α+β+γ=7+3+1=11
